Passionate about the application of economic theory and rigorous quantitative analysis to complex regulatory, competition and policy challenges.

Aleksander joined HoustonKemp in early 2026, prior to which he interned at EY and NAB, where he conducted analysis, authored reports and contributed to the uplift of programs and processes. Aleksander is motivated to apply quantitative techniques in conjunction with economic theory to a broader range of regulatory, competition and policy problems.

As a student, Aleksander travelled to Berlin where he collaborated with a student team to deliver a consulting project for a large German multinational, culminating in a report and presentation to the executive leadership team with insights into prevailing legislative requirements and their implications. Aleksander’s strong analytical and communication skills allow him to address complex real-world economic issues.

Aleksander holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours in Economics) from the University of Melbourne. He was awarded the Samuel and June Hordern Scholarship in Rural and Regional Economics in recognition of his honours thesis, which examined the location and integrity of Human-Induced Regeneration projects under the Australian Carbon Credit Unit Scheme. His research drew on spatial econometric and modelling techniques to analyse the distribution and effectiveness of carbon credit projects across Australia.
