Andrew joined HoustonKemp at the beginning of 2025 after completing his Bachelor of Economics (Honours) at the University of Sydney. Andrew is passionate about combining economic theory with data and econometric techniques to answer complex regulatory, policy and finance problems.
Andrew completed an internship at the e61 Institute, where he used the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) dataset to analyse employment barriers, addressing key factors impacting workforce participation in Australia. His research identified key strategic challenges in traditional demographic categorisations, which will assist policymakers in developing effective labour market interventions.
Andrew’s honours thesis also used the HILDA dataset and employed advanced panel data methods to identify the causal effect of housing wealth changes on the health outcomes of youth living in the parental home. This research reflects his interest in using economics to create effective policy responses to tackle emerging problems in society.
