Robert Hoskins, Analyst

Driven to apply rigorous economic analysis to complex problems across a diversity of industries and markets.

Robert returned to HoustonKemp in 2026, having previously completed an internship where he worked on a variety of projects spanning infrastructure and freight analysis, electricity market regulation and competition matters. His thorough approach to problem solving, combined with strong quantitative and communication skills, enables him to contribute effectively across a range of complex economic issues.

Robert recently completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics at the University of Auckland. His dissertation examined the complementary roles of battery and hydroelectric storage in managing outage risk in the New Zealand electricity market, drawing on historical weather data and electricity demand forecasts to provide detailed insights into the risks and opportunities facing the sector. He is keen to apply the skills he has developed across a wide range of markets and contexts.
