Adrian has been working closely with IPART to redesign the regulatory framework applying to water businesses in NSW. The new framework refocuses the price regulatory process on engagement with customers. It requires water businesses to engage with customers on strategic priorities, business plans, costs and pricing decisions. Through a process of self assessment and review by IPART, regulatory pricing decisions will be made for the forthcoming determination period.
The draft report has been recently released, with the final decision expected to be made later in 2022.
