The Competition Tribunal denied authorisation of a proposed mobile spectrum and network sharing agreement between Telstra and TPG. The proposed arrangement would essentially result in TPG using Telstra’s mobile network in certain regional and urban fringe areas, and decommissioning its own network in those areas.
